A Fair Day

Juz finish off one of the worst wedding fairs for the month of february.Really SHAG(vv tired) out for the past four days.Tats y dun hav time to update my blog.Back to the worst ever fair outin i hav been to.Throughout the year SG has loads of wedding fairs(roadshows,fashion show or workshop).Most of them are organise by wedding magazines or by hotels(hopin tat couples wud book their banquet in the hotel).Sum last for a week(roadshows) sum juz for a single day(fashion shows n workshops).Roadshows has loads of wedding coutures showcasing their latest gowns n packages while roadshows n fashion shows r mainly one bridal boutique affairs.As for our boutique we entered almost all the fairs every year.And i can say tat we fair quite well in these fairs EXCEPT for this particular one.Hav to say tat it really is a vv mentally n physcologically torturing experience.4 days in a row i n my fellow colleagues hav to endure the pressure of not having enough couples sittin down in our booth.We were like stranded souls on a deserted island lookin for a boat to save us.The organisers barely has advertisements up nor any entertainment to pull in the crowd.Not to mention 60% of SG's wedding boutiques r participating in the roadshow itself.Makes our lives even more miserable.Really tired out after this roadshow.Enough said i guess i shud wish all of u lovers out there a hapi valentines day.And hope u all tie the knot soon.Hope the upcoming fairs will be better(keeping my fingers cross).^_^

Rain Rain Go Away

Rain is considered to be a pre wedding photographers nightmare.Every couple wud like their wedding photos to be bright n full of life.But once rain sets in taking outdoor shots wud be a tough challenge even for the most experienced pre wedding photographer.Shot tis at Mandai Orchid Gardens.The garden showcases all types of orchids(SG's national flower) from different sizes,colours and species(dunno if its the right term to use for flowers).Rain stopped in the late evening then continued shooting again for the couple.Still remembered how happy the bride was when the rain stopped.70-200mm was used again to zoom in on the droplets off an Atap roof(a kind of makeshift roof using dried coconut leaves).

Sun Star

A shot of my best fren the ever life giver of the universe The SUN.One of my favourite shots(from my point of view cos its up to u all to decide on the composition of tis picture).Took it at SG's Labrador Park.Considered to be one of SG's most well kept nature reserve it has barbecue pits and a small jungle tracking route for familys to enjoy the cool sea breeze in the evenings.A popular spot for pre wedding shots bcos of the 3 main backdrops of greenery,sea n sky.As usual my fren(the SUN) is shining down strong wid no clouds covering it.Tune up my aperture to 18(if im not wrong cos shot tis long time ago) n tune down my shutterspeed to 200 or 250 to make its Tails stand out.Used a Tamron 11-18mm wide angle lens for tis shot.

Exhausted

Offday again.Woke up around 1130am to enter SG.Prep up n travelled to my local bus station by foot(5-7 mins walk).A free lance makeup artist(Vivi) pick me up there to enter SG.We used to work together during sum of the pre wedding photoshoots.Slim nice looking lady.Not to mention tat shes a Hello Kitty lover.Whole car is adorn wid those cute cuddly kitty's.Had lunch wid her and straight went into SG.She has a trial make-up wid a Japanese bride while i had to get an 8gb pendrive for my colleague(hes singaporean n hes too lazy to get it on his own).Vivi got a call n said tat her trial session has been changed to 4pm.So she visited her elder sister while i alight at the Yio Chu Kang MRT(Mass Rapid Transit) station.Destination is Bugis junction.A famous shopping complex tat has loads of branded n unbranded goods.But im not going there to get the pen drive.Im getting it at Sim Lim Square.Sg's ultimate answer to our vv own Low Yat Plaza.10 mins walking distance from the Bugis MRT station.Its a one stop IT mall wid loads and loads of tech savvy modern hardware.Prices r vv reasonable as well.Got the pendrive(Sandisk 8gb SGD27.90) n walk back to bugis junction for sum window shopping.Nothin to buy instead spent most of the time at its underground Cyber Cafe playing Left 4 Dead(coolest shoot the zombies up game EVER) till 630pm.My colleague gave me a call off i went to meet him for dinner at Jln. Besar(will cover this Jln.Besar topic soon).After slacking away off i go bak to Johor Bahru.Tiring day considering its an offday.Anyway its an enjoyin day.Too bad didnt bring my camera along.Back to uploading pictures.

Concrete Sunset

SG is a fast growing city.Small island but full of developments.Shot was taken inside of a couples car(was on the ECP highway) when i saw the sun juz in between of the mountaining cranes.The cranes are in charge of building up SG's new casino haven.Situated in the city area,once completed(year 2011) it has world class hotels wid state of the art casino services.Throngs of tourists n locals r expected to visit the casino.After all everyone loves to gamble once in awhile dun they.Wats wrong wid having a lil luck by ur side?I know i wont b missing the action of shootin this spectacular giant project on a small island once its completed.

Shadows

Shot tis at the Cavenagh Bridge in front of SG's Fullerton Hotel.As usual the sun is my best fren whenever it comes to outdoor shootin for me.Saw the shadow on the bridge which derives from the railings of this 1870 suspension bridge.Used a 70-200mm Nikon lens mounted on a Fujifilm S5 body.

Tired n Sleepy

Juz finish partying wid my colleagues at a bistro called PLAY in SG.Had an enjoyable nite minus the fatigue n hang over im gonna get tomolo.352am Singapore time(it had the same timezone as Malaysia).Sleeping over at the shop as my Designers apartment ran out of space(2 of my colleagues sleeping over there as im typin).Too bad dun hav pictures to upload for his celebrations cos everyone is bz tryin to get the Bday Boy drunk.Anyway time to get sum rest.Will continue to upload photos tomolo.
